How to prepare for your bridal makeup
When to book, how to prepare your skin and what to have ready on the morning — a calm plan for brides in Amman.

The short answer
To prepare for bridal makeup, book your makeup artist as soon as your date and venue are set, keep a simple hydrating skincare routine for the weeks before with no new treatments, save photos of looks you love and of your dress, and arrive on the morning with clean, moisturised skin in a button-up top.

Book as soon as your date is set
Wedding-season Saturdays and Fridays are the first dates to go. Once your date and venue are confirmed, send Rama your date, your getting-ready location and how many people are getting ready with you.
Start your skin routine weeks before
Makeup sits best on calm, hydrated skin. Keep your routine simple and consistent in the weeks before the wedding: a gentle cleanser, a hydrating toner or essence, a moisturiser and daily sunscreen.
Avoid trying new strong treatments or peels close to the day — this is not the week to experiment.
Bring your inspiration
Save a few photos of looks you love and a photo of your dress. They help Rama understand the mood you want, which she then adapts to your features.
On the morning
Arrive with clean, moisturised skin, wear a button-up top so you can change without touching your hair and makeup, and keep a lipstick close for touch-ups after dinner.
